Centro Banamex

Mexico City, D.F. 11200, Mexico

Expo Seguridad 2016 will be held on April 26-28, 2016 in Mexico City at Expo Banamex. This will be the fourteenth edition of Expo Seguridad, which has grown steadily over the last few years to become the most important security trade exhibition in Mexico. After rapid economic, social and technological growth beginning in the 1990s, Mexico is now both one of the world’s largest and fastest growing economies, with a stable growth rate of 7.6%. The Mexican economy is expected to nearly triple by 2020: It is the 11th largest economy in the world as measured in gross domestic product in purchasing power parity. It has a free market economy in the one-and-a-half-trillion-dollar class and contains a mixture of modern and outmoded industry and agriculture, increasingly dominated by the private sector.

Recent administrations have expanded competition in seaports, railroads, telecommunications, electricity generation, natural gas distribution, and airports. Mexico represents a $4 Billion + Security market.

In 2015, The U.S. Commercial Service hosted 17 exhibiting companies, which had a dedicated booth inside the Pavilion. USCS Mexico promoted another 13 firms in a Catalog Show, in partnership with the Safety and Security Team.

Expo Seguridad was attended by more than 17,100 visitors from different countries. The U.S. Pavilion experienced significant visitor traffic and the U.S. Commercial Service’s booth generated several pre-screened trade leads.
