Los Angeles | January 24, 2026 — The Asian Film Festival Los Angeles successfully presented the 7th Asian Film Festival Los Angeles Golden Diamond Ceremony on January 24, bringing together filmmakers, industry professionals, cultural leaders, and media representatives from Asia, the United States, and around the world.


The day-long program featured a series of signature events. At 1:00 p.m., the Asian Film Festival Los Angeles Forum opened the program with discussions focused on the global development of Asian cinema, emerging creative trends, and opportunities for China–U.S. film collaboration and co-productions. Filmmakers and industry experts from Hollywood and Asia shared insights on storytelling, production models, and cross-cultural cooperation.


At 5:00 p.m., the Golden Diamond Awards VIP Red Carpet welcomed award recipients and distinguished guests. The red carpet showcased the growing international presence and professional excellence of Asian filmmakers and creative talents.


The Golden Diamond Awards Ceremony, held at 6:00 p.m., honored outstanding achievements in filmmaking, artistic expression, and cultural exchange. The Golden Diamond Awards recognize directors, actors, producers, and films that have made significant contributions to Asian cinema and its global impact. This year’s recipients reflected the continued growth of Asian film in narrative depth, creative innovation, and international reach.


The evening also featured a special stage presentation from the 37th World Asian Beauty Pageant Global Finals, adding a dynamic cultural element that complemented the festival’s celebration of artistry, diversity, and international exchange.


During the ceremony, Jason Quin, Executive Chairman of the Asian Film Festival Los Angeles, announced that the 8th Asian Film Festival Los Angeles was officially launched on the same day. The next edition of the festival will continue to expand its role as a global platform, supporting Asian filmmakers and fostering collaboration between Asia, the United States, and the international film community.
The 7th Asian Film Festival Los Angeles Golden Diamond Ceremony concluded with strong attendance and enthusiastic response, reinforcing the festival’s mission to promote cultural dialogue, artistic excellence, and cross-border cooperation through cinema.


The American International Chamber of Commerce served as the organizer of the Asian Film Festival Los Angeles, and all of its executives attended today’s Diamond Award ceremony.

The 37th Miss Asia International Pageant Global Finals Successfully Conclude in Los Angeles

Los Angeles, January 24, 2026 — The 37th Miss Asia International Pageant Global Finals concluded successfully on January 24 in Los Angeles, marking a celebratory gathering of culture, confidence, and international exchange.

The event was presented under the brand authorization of the American International Chamber of Commerce (AICC). The Chamber’s Chairman, Holmes Stoner, and Executive Chairman, Jason Quin, were both present at the Global Finals, underscoring the Brand Licensor’s commitment to governance, transparency, and international cultural engagement.

Finalists competing in this year’s Global Finals represented the United States, China, South Korea, Vietnam, and Thailand, reflecting the pageant’s global reach and its role as a platform celebrating Asian heritage and cross-cultural dialogue.

The event was executive produced by AMTV, which oversaw the overall production and broadcast coordination of the Global Finals.

Brand Governance and Results Review

The American International Chamber of Commerce, acting in its capacity as Brand Licensor, is currently conducting a comprehensive review of the judging and scoring procedures of this year’s competition. This review is being carried out in accordance with the official competition rules and brand governance standards and includes the completion of all relevant compliance processes.

Upon conclusion of this review, and pursuant to the Brand Licensor’s authorized supervisory, audit, and final discretionary authority, the Brand Licensor will formally confirm and publicly release the final competition results.

The original authorization rights granted for this competition concluded upon the completion of the event on January 24, 2026. Any official announcements of honors, brand-related communications, or follow-up activities associated with this competition will be issued exclusively through channels authorized by the Brand Licensor.

U.S. Treasury International Capital Data for May

WASHINGTON, July 17 The U.S. Department of the Treasury today released Treasury International Capital (TIC) data for May 2025.  The next release, which will report on data for June 2025, is scheduled for August 15, 2025.

The sum total in May of all net foreign acquisitions of long-term securities, short-term U.S. securities, and banking flows was a net TIC inflow of $311.1 billion.  Of this, net foreign private inflows were $333.2 billion, while net foreign official outflows were $22.1 billion.

Foreign residents increased their holdings of long-term U.S. securities in May; their net purchases were $318.5 billion.  Net purchases by private foreign investors were $287.5 billion, and net purchases by foreign official institutions were $31.1 billion.

U.S. residents increased their holdings of long-term foreign securities, with net purchases of $59.1 billion.

After including adjustments, such as estimated foreign portfolio acquisitions of U.S. stocks through stock swaps, overall net foreign sales of long-term securities are estimated to have been $259.4 billion in May.

Foreign residents increased their holdings of U.S. Treasury bills by $0.5 billion.  Foreign resident holdings of all dollar-denominated short-term U.S. securities and other custody liabilities increased by $10.3 billion.

Banks’ own net dollar-denominated liabilities to foreign residents increased by $41.4 billion.

The 6th Asian Film Festival Golden Diamond Awards Ceremony was grandly held in Los Angeles


Los Angeles – The 6th Asian Film Festival Los Angeles Golden Diamond Awards Ceremony was held in Sheraton Hotel Los Angeles San Gabriel on Decmber 18th. More than 300 filmmakers and celebrities and guests from Hollywood and other countries and regions attended the awards ceremony.

In his speech, Jason Quin, Executive Chairman of the Los Angeles Asian Film Festival, welcomed and thanked the elected officials, diplomatic officials, filmmakers, sponsors, contractors and partners who attended the film festival. At the same time, the 7th Los Angeles Film Festival was officially launched. Nearly 120 films were shortlisted at this film festival, and nearly 80 films and filmmakers were nominated.

The award-winning films came from the United States, China, Hong Kong, Japan, the Iran, India. After a two-hour red carpet ceremony, they first held a grand awards ceremony, then held a song and dance performance, and the 36th Miss Asia International Global Finals beauty contest. Secretary Raimondo and Minister Goyal Co-Chair 2024 U.S.-India CEO Forum

Today, the United States hosted the 6thmeeting of the U.S.-India CEO Forum, which was co-chaired by U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and Minister of Commerce and Industry of India Piyush Goyal. The U.S.-India CEO Forum is a platform that convenes leaders of the U.S. and Indian business communities to develop and provide joint recommendations to strengthen bilateral commercial ties and expand trade and investment between India and the United States.

During the meeting, U.S. and Indian government representatives and CEO Forum members reaffirmed their commitment to expanding bilateral commerce and trade, driving inclusive economic growth and innovation, and fostering a resilient bilateral partnership.

The Secretary and the Minister thanked Mr. James Taiclet, President and Chief Executive Officer, Lockheed Martin, and Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons, for their leadership as Private Sector Co-Chairs from 2023–2024. They noted, with appreciation, the recommendations made by the Forum members over the past two years and their respective initiatives.

They also took stock of the Forum’s accomplishments, including the launch of the publicly accessible Network for Innovation and Harnessing Investments and Trade for Inclusive Growth between the United States and India (NIHIT) Platform to facilitate online knowledge sharing and networking among U.S. and Indian startups and small businesses. To date, NIHIT has organized four workshops to promote capacity building and skilling in cybersecurity, digital technologies, and AI, which have been attended by over 1,000 startups, small businesses, and entrepreneurs.

CEO Forum members, which represent a total of 22 U.S. companies and 25 Indian companies, have also made a series of recent announcements demonstrating their commitment to advancing U.S.-India commercial engagement:

  • Lockheed Martin and Tata Advanced Systems Limited’s recent signing of a teaming agreement on the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft. The agreement creates a framework to (1) establish a new maintenance, repair, and overhaul facility in India to support the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) fleet and other global fleets of C-130J Super Hercules aircraft; and (2) expand the manufacturing and assembly of these aircraft in India to support the IAF’s Medium Transport Aircraft program.
  • Kyndryl Inc.’s collaboration with Indian microfinancier CreditAccess (CA) Grameen to deliver advanced technology services needed to digitize and transform CA Grameen’s microloan processing business, enabling more than 2 million women borrowers to have easy and fast access to credit in rural India.
  • Amneal Pharmaceutical’s announcement this week of the launch of medicines in several new therapeutic areas and the groundbreaking of a state-of-the-art peptide manufacturing facility in Ahmedabad, India.
  • Honeywell International’s delivery and commissioning in September of a 1.4 MWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) for the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s project on the Lakshadweep Islands, which is India’s first on-grid solar initiative using BESS to manage the supply of renewable power.
  • Pfizer’s launch in September of its first commercial analytics center in India, called the “Analytics Gateway,” which will harness AI and best-in-class data science to improve Pfizer’s analytics of international markets and help it deliver more of its medicines to patients in need in India and around the world.
  • Viasat’s MOU on Space Collaboration, signed in September with the Government of India, to set a roadmap for collaboration on the development of next-generation space technologies between the two parties to deliver high-speed and high-capacity internet services to users in India and internationally.

Otis Worldwide’s groundbreaking in August of an expansion to its manufacturing facility in Bengaluru, India. The expansion will double the company’s current escalator production capacity and help it further support metro projects and other residential, commercial and infrastructure development throughout India through the sale of elevators and escalators.

The 10th SelectUSA Investment Summit, Taking Place Next June in National Harbor, MD

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo announced today that registration is now open for SelectUSA’s 10thInvestment Summit to be held June 23 – 26, 2024, at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.

The SelectUSA Investment Summit is the highest-profile event dedicated to promoting foreign direct investment (FDI) in the United States, with a focus on the U.S. investment environment, industry trends, and creating business opportunities. Drawing more than 4,900 participants in 2023, the Investment Summit facilitates connections between investors, economic developers, and industry experts to seek opportunities available through U.S. investment. Attendees and speakers include senior government officials, C-Suite business executives, and industry leaders.

Chinese feature film “Run. Shunzi” Leading actress Xu Yuan won the golden Diamond Award for Best Actress. Xu won much attention for her performance as Zhang Shunzi, the heroine of the movie, which depicts a young amateur athlete who becomes a professional athlete and continues to make miracles.

Jason Quin, The executive chairman of the Asian Film Festival Los Angeles delivered a speech via video on the ceremony today, He announced that the 4th Asian Film Festival was launched at the same time and will be open for application soon.
