The 5th Los Angeles Asian Film Festival Golden Diamond Awards ceremony closed, Golden Diamond Awards winners list released

Dec 19, 2023 – Today, The fifth Los Angeles Asian Film Festival Golden Diamond Awards ceremony successfully ended in Los Angeles. The fifth Los Angeles Asian Film Festival Golden Diamond Awards nominated films include the United States, China, India, Japan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Canada, Indonesia, Iraq, Thailand, China Taiwan and Hong Kong and other countries and regions, a total of 100 film works were nominated, 20 film works and 2 special awards won the Golden Diamond Award.

The Golden Diamond Awards winners were announced at the 3rd Asian Film Festival awards ceremony in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, CA, DEC 19 – Today, The 3rd Asian Film Festival Golden Diamond Awards ceremony was held in Los Angeles. The event’s red carpet scene was spectacular and the award stage was full of stars. Academy Award winning directors, Hollywood stars, producers, investors and Asian Film Festival ‘s filmmakers are once again gathering together to celebrate.

Holmes Stoner, Chairman of the Asian Film Festival; Leith Enron, Co-Chairwoman of the Asian Film Festival; Inge Sawerthal, President of the American Chamber of International Commerce; Richard Anderson, Oscar winner and Emmy Winner and Mariana Tse, former US Assistant Secretary of Education, As well as Asian Film Festival judges representatives Amber Martinez and Francesca Gioia Drommi and other awards guests on stage at Golden Diamond Awards ceremony to award Best Future, Best Documentary, Best Animation winners, As well as the Best New Director, Best New Actress, Best Child Actor and Best Child Actress award were presented with a Golden Diamond Awards trophy and certificate.

Chinese feature film “Run. Shunzi” Leading actress Xu Yuan won the golden Diamond Award for Best Actress. Xu won much attention for her performance as Zhang Shunzi, the heroine of the movie, which depicts a young amateur athlete who becomes a professional athlete and continues to make miracles.

Jason Quin, The executive chairman of the Asian Film Festival Los Angeles delivered a speech via video on the ceremony today, He announced that the 4th Asian Film Festival was launched at the same time and will be open for application soon.

Asian Film Festival Announces Winners of 2020 Golden Diamond Awards

Nov 21st – Beverly Hills, CA -– The 2 nd Annual Asian Film Festival Los Angeles (AFF ) 2020 announced the winners of the festival’s 2020 film competitions today at the Maybourne Beverly Hills Los Angeles. With the festival following COVID-19 pandemic, the festival did not host a live Golden Diamond Awards ceremony this year, with a virtual awards ceremony. The 2nd Golden Diamond Awards of AFF Los Angeles featured twenty competitive categories: Feature, Foreign Language Film, Documentary, Animation, Short Film, Documentary Short, Student Short Film, Director, Director Short Film, First Director, Director Student, Script, Cinematography, Editing, Production Design, Music, Actor, Actress, Child Actor and Child Actress.

The Asian Film Festival Los Angeles Chairman Holmes Stoner Said, “This year’s program featured so many wonderful films, and we are grateful to our jurors for selecting our award-winning films, We thank and congratulate all of the filmmakers who shared their films with the festival this year and look forward to great things from each and every one of them.”

“While we are not yet able to celebrate these incredible films at their premieres, we are so proud to celebrate them in partnership with our generous team through our 2020 Golden Diamond Awards virtual ceremony” said Festival Executive Chairman Jason Quin. “ AFF Los Angeles chose to recognize a daring, innovative, entertaining, diverse group of films and filmmakers, and the Festival is pleased to honor all of them with our first ever virtual awards ceremony at this particular moment in 2020.” “”We are also grateful for the involvement and support of filmmakers from dozens of countries and regionesas to join with AFF work together to meet the novel COVID-19 pandemic challenge.”

The 2nd annual Golden DIamond Awards were unlike in our ceremony history in this age of the COVID-19 pandemic. Hundreds of filmmakers incuding directors, actors and crew from different countries and regions congratulated AFF via video. The Asian Film Festival Los Angeles 2020 was originally set to take place on Nov 1st -14th, however it will be rescheduled due to the pandemic.
